Wordeater ║ The Literary and Creative Arts Magazine of Joliet Junior College

Wordeater is the biannual literary and creative arts magazine of Joliet Junior College. It includes the work of Joliet Junior College students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

 

Print and e-zine issues are published in May and December.

 

The staff will consider all original media, including poetry, plays, short fiction, songs, audio, video, translations, essays, creative nonfiction, art criticism, book reviews, autobiographical prose, interviews, storyboards, comics, photography, and art for publication.

The faculty advisor and student editorial staff determine the content.

 

Spring 2017 Call for Submissions:

We are seeking manuscripts and artwork for the spring 2017 issue of Wordeater. We are interested in all genres and work from every discipline. We welcome writers and artists from the humanities and the sciences.

 

Submission guidelines:

Please format your documents with 1-inch margins, 12-point font, double spaced leading, and your last name and the page number in the header.

 

Be certain to include the title of your work; your name; a brief bio; your major; for faculty and staff, your department and position.

 

If you are submitting artwork, please submit as a .jpg or .png.

 

If you need to submit a large file, Wordeater has a Google Drive account.

 

We will issue a receipt for every file received (please allow 72 hours).
