He has had little time to get acquainted with the team because the date of the trade was right before the start of the Champions League.
Chelsea's star midfielder Joe Cole ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament in the knee. The injury happened during a FA Cup game against Southend United FC. He has already undergone reconstructive surgery and Chelsea says all went well. The coaching staff has expressed great disappointment from losing such a valuable leader on the team.
