The Dark Knight Trilogy
Batman Begins (2005)-
Batman Begins was first seen in theaters in the year 2005 and was directed by Christopher Nolan. It featured Christian Bale as Batman, Liam Neeson as Ducard, and Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow. The film gave the audience a peak into Batman's beginnings and other certain things such as his beliefs, morals, and who trained him. The main plot line of the film is Batman attempting to stop his mentor from destroying Gotham city due to the fact that Batman believes that good people still exist in Gotham.
The Dark Knight (2008)-
The Dark Knight was the second film to be directed by Christopher Nolan featuring Christian Bale as Batman. In the follow up film to Batman Begins, Batman attempts to put the entire mob in jail with the help of Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) and Officer Gordon (Gary Oldman). However, the Joker (Heath Ledger) has other plans and plans to stop Batman and his friends by bringing every hero in Gotham down to his level.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)-
The Dark Knight Rises is the third and (supposedly) final contribution Christopher Nolan will be making to the Batman series. In The Dark Knight Rises, Batman (Christian Bale) is seen as an enemy of Gotham but is forced to come out of hiding and restore justice when Bane (Tom Hardy) begins to terrorize the good people of Gotham City.
