(catalog) description: The
course is designed to further enhance microcomputer applications skills using
a totally integrated software package that includes word processing, a
spreadsheet, a database, and presentation software in a Windows
environment. The class meets in a PC
equipped classroom. Required

Edition by Shelly, Cashman, and
Vermaat, published by Course Technology. |

Course Objectives:
1. The student will understand and use
Word 2003 for Windows as word processing application
software.
2. The student will understand and use
Excel 2003 for Windows as electronic spreadsheet application software.
3. The student will understand and use
Access 2003 for Windows as database management systems application software.
4. The student will understand and use
PowerPoint 2003 for Windows as presentation application software.
Attendance Policy: Attendance and participation in class discussions will
comprise a portion of each student's final course grade. This being the case, it is very important
that the student makes a concerted effort to come to class, on time, and be
prepared to participate in the class discussions.
Make-Up Policy: If you must miss
an examination, you should discuss it with your instructor prior to the absence
and arrange for a make-up examination. No make-up examination will be given
after the test paper is returned to the class.
Withdrawal/Drop
Policy: It is the student's responsibility to obtain
the necessary withdrawal forms if he decides not to complete the course. The instructor will recommend withdrawal for
those students not in regular attendance at or before midterm and may recommend
withdrawal of a student at any point in the semester for poor academic
performance or for cheating.
